Vivian Adaline (Drury) Ferguson, 88, of Gillespie, formerly of Mt. Olive and Staunton, died Friday, July 19, 2019, at 12:22 p.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Assembly Church in Staunton. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ferguson was born July 6, 1931, in Alton, to Ralph Elery and Adaline T. (Sheff) Drury. She married Bernard C. Ferguson on March 17, 1962, in Alton, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2002.

She was a lab tech for Olin Corporation, co-owner of Bernie's Tavern in Staunton, admitting clerk for the hospital in Staunton and a clerk for Walmart in Litchfield.

A member of the Eastern Star in Staunton and Green Oaks Garden Club, she was a former member of Band Parents in Staunton and a former Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Keith) Paskiewicz of Elgin and Karen King of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Jason (Corey) Paskiewicz of Island Lake, Christopher (Jenna) Long of Kurtistown, HI, Kenneth Long of Chicago and Kathryn Long of Mt. Olive; great-grandchildren, Viviana Long and Catalina Long, both of Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Audrey Long; son-in-law, Robert "Jim" King; and brother, Ralph Drury, Jr.

Memorials may be made to Macoupin County 4-H for horticulture programming.
