The Big Dawg Dare is looking for volunteers to help during this year's race, which will be held on Saturday, July 20, at Wolff Farm, just north of Litchfield.
Volunteers are needed from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the following areas, including course observer, starting line, finish line, registration tent, food tent and parking. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt. All ages are welcome to volunteer. A volunteer meeting will be held Friday, July 19, at 6 p.m.
To volunteer, register online at www.bigdawgdare.com/volunteer. For individuals who have questions or are unable to volunteer for the entire event, email email@example.com. The last day to sign up and be guaranteed a free volunteer T-shirt is Saturday, July 6.
Big Dawg Dare is also seeking organizations, such as youth groups, to assist with course setup and teardown. Groups who are interested may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Big Dawg Dare is a non-profit organization, which raises funds for local charities and organizations. Since 2012, Big Dawg Dare has donated thousands of dollars to more than 40 local organizations, including several youth athletic programs.
It has been a very successful event every year. As of Friday, June 14, Big Dawg Dare has more than 500 runners signed up for this year's race.
