Warren Curtis Fraley, Jr., 95, of Litchfield, formerly of Collinsville and Troy, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Christian Church of Litchfield, with funeral services following the visitation. The Rev. Roy Eller, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery with military honors at graveside. Plummer Funeral and Cremation Services in Litchfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Fraley was born in Barnett, Jan. 26, 1928, to Warren C. and Ida B. (Friend) Fraley, Sr. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and then continued his service in the Navy Reserves. He was called back to active duty during the Korean War and served in Bainbridge, MD.

On June 26, 1948, Mr. Fraley and the former Mary Louise Booher were married. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1998. He and the former Mildred Jeanette “Gig” (Booher) Odle were married May 30, 1999. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2017.

Mr. Fraley was a professional truck driver, owning his own truck for six years. Desiring to spend more time with his family, he accepted a position as dock foreman with C.W. Transport in St. Louis, where he was employed for 35 years.

Mr. Fraley was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Barnett, and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville, where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the Kniery-Knagg American Legion Post #701 in Litchfield. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, hunting, golfing and traveling, and cherished time spent with his family.

Mr. Fraley is survived by five daughters, Janet (Gary) Boyce of Daytona Beach Shores, FL, Beverly (Robert) Wille of Troy, Barbara Burk of St. Jacob, Sue (Jeff) Hewitt of Troy and Carol Fraley of O’Fallon; three step-sons, Harold (Susan) Odle of Litchfield,  Jim (Lois) Odle of Litchfield and John (Sheila) Odle of Fithian; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wives, Mr. Fraley was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Bouillon, and two sons-in-law, Michael Putnam and Don Burk.
