Wilbur Loyd Marth, 83, of Bethalto, died on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 7:35 a.m. at Integrity Healthcare of Godfrey.
Private family services will be held. Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marth was born June 14, 1936, in Bunker Hill, to Harry and Ruth (Hallows) Marth. He married Helen Laverne (Withers) Marth on Dec. 30, 1967, in East Alton, and she survives.
During his career, he served as a machinist at Olin for 32 years and was a farmer.
Mr. Marth was a member of the Woodburn Bible Church, and enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, bowling and playing pinochle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Brad) Myers of Bethalto; grandchildren, Ryan (Trisha) Bertels of Murfreesboro, TN, Kylie (Brandon) Kirby of Hillsboro and Courtney (Dakota) Corbitt of Wood River; great-grandchildren, Briley Kirby, Gracie Crayne, Rayna Bertels, Raelyn Bertels, Aislee Kirby and Greyson Corbitt.
Mr. Marth was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lorna Fanning.
