Wilda Louise Prater, 90, of Fillmore, died on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 8:20 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Allen and Sutton Funeral Home in Fillmore. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Jeff Kibler officiating. Burial will take place in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore.
Mrs. Prater was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Decatur, to W. Lawrence and Esther M. (Bauer) Walker. She married Norval L. Prater on Aug. 10, 1946, in Fillmore, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2002.
She provided tax service for the community for over 55 years, and attended Fillmore Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Mrs. Prater is survived by her sons, David A. Prater and Dale C. (Paula) Prater, both of Fillmore; daughters, Donna (Dale) Kibler of Maroa and Dana L. (Steve) Reincke of Nokomis; grandchildren, Nathan (Joy) Prater of Greenville, Vince (Heather) Reincke of Hillsboro, Jeff (Jennifer) Kibler of El Paso, Amy (Matt) Stolte of Nokomis, Craig (Rochelle) Reincke of Petersburg and Jennifer (Patrick) Rose of Decatur; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, William E. (Shirley) Walker of Decatur; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
