William 'Bud' Duncan, 73

William "Bud" Duncan, 73, of Greenville, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Smith Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Matt Mendenhall officiating. Interment will be held in Smith Grove Cemetery. Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville is assisting the family.

Mr. Duncan was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Morganfield, KY, the son of Shelby Clarence and Cecilia (Bruce) Duncan. He married Linda Cruthis on Sept. 10, 1966, in Sorento, and she survives.

The family moved to Sorento when he was five. He attended the local schools and graduated from Greenville High School.

For almost 50 years, he worked at Anthony Supply, where he was the sales manager and anything needed in-between. When he was not working he enjoyed watching baseball, and was a Dodger's fan. He coached baseball during the summers for 25 years.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Duncan of Irmo, SC, and Kelly (wife Stephanie) Duncan of Greenville; grandchildren, Brandon and Tucker; great-grandchildren, Jaylon; nephew, Doug; brother, Drew (wife Judi) Duncan of Sorento; and sister, Peggy Cruthis of Sorento.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepmother, Lola Garland Duncan.

Memorials may be made to the NICU at Cardinal Glennon Hospital at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home or at Smith Grove Baptist Church.
