William Henry Douglas, 71, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Feb. 4, 2023, in Winnemucca, NV.
Mr.Douglas was born on Dec. 11, 1951, in Illinois, the son of William “Bill” Edward and Patsy Lou (Penrod) Douglas, and graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1969.
Mr.Douglas served his country as a member of the United States Army and the United States Air Force during the Vietnam, Iraq and Kuwait conflicts.
Mr.Douglas married Teresita Ontuca on June 29, 1971, and she survives. They shared 52 years and one daughter together. The two had resided in Winnemucca, NV, for the last 25 years.
Mr.Douglas was an active member in his church, Christ Life Ministry, and an active member in Winnemucca Lodge #19 of the Free and Accepted Masons.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Green; grandchildren, Jasmine Teresita Green, Devan Shaun Green and McKullin Ross Green and a brother Harold Douglas of Hillsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia A. Douglas, in 2016.
Funeral services were on Feb. 17, at Sonoma Funeral Home in Winnemucca, NV. Burial was at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV.
