William O. Voyles, 92

William “Bill” O. Voyles, 92, of Litchfield, formerly of Butler, died on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at 7:35 p.m. at his residence.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 23, beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Cynthia Munker, pastor of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mr. Voyles was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Hillsboro, to Reynolds R. and Lillian (Donaldson) Voyles. He married Joann Lewey on Dec. 23, 1950, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, and she survives.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1947, and served in the U.S. Army in a medical unit during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Voyles worked as a produce manager and store manager of A&P Tea Company Grocery Stores. A member of the Hillsboro Moose Lodge #1377, he resided in the Hillsboro, Butler and Litchfield areas throughout his lifetime.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark (wife Pam) Voyles of Mt. Olive; five grandchildren, Mike (wife Stacie) Neathery, Tim Voyles, Amy Voyles, Christina (husband Reid) Cerutti and Kimberly Watkins; six great-grandchildren, Scott Neathery, Connor Neathery, Madeline Neathery, Corey Voyles, Fletcher Cerutti and Tymber Cerutti; stepgreat-grandchild, Alexa Johnson; stepgreat-great-grandchild, Adrian Harris; and brother, David Voyles of Alton.

Mr. Voyles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie (Voyles) Neathery; and siblings, Jack Voyles, Jim Voyles, Reynolds Voyles, Dick Voyles and Betty Brown.
