Wilma Bertinetti, 93, of Carlinville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Heritage Health Care in Carlinville.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, Sts Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with the Revs. Michael Haag and Angel Sierra presiding. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Bertinetti was born on Dec. 31, 1928, in Nokomis, a daughter of  Leonard “Pop” and Lottie (Graden) Smalley. She married I.L. “Bert” Bertinetti on Jan. 21, 1949, in Nokomis. They had been married 72 years at the time of his death on April 13, 2021.

Mrs. Bertinetti graduated from Nokomis High School with the class of 1946 and attended Millikin University in Decatur. Her career was at the ASCS office in Carlinville where she assisted the area farmers with planning out their crop planting and rotations. Mrs. Bertinetti was a member of Sts Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Carlinville Area Auxiliary and a past member of Catholic Daughters of America. She loved to travel and especially loved to spend time at the beach and pool whereever they went.

Mrs. Bertinetti is survived by her children, Rick (Cindy) Bertinetti of Carlinville, Deb (Deb Meehan) Bertinetti of Lake Catatoga and Denis (Deb Stewart) Bertinetti of Kentword, LA; grandsons, David and Jason Bertinetti; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
