Woodrow "Woody" Dobson-Hendricks, 85, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at 11:50 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Cynthia Munker, of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be held in Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville.

Mr. Dobson-Hendricks was born April 22, 1934, in Campbellsville, KY, to Kemp and Virginia (Shofner) Hendricks.

He was a laborer and farm hand and also mowed and did yard work for several people in Litchfield.

A member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, Mr. Dobson-Hendricks enjoyed volunteering his time for Meals on Wheels. He was better known around town for riding his big red bike.

He is survived by three sisters, Opal (John) Miller of Springfield, Catherine (Jim) Smith of Divernon and Mabel M. (Barry) Marten of Williamsburg, VA; five nephews and one niece, Todd Tarr, Darren Hart, Craig Marten, Jason Marten, Jennifer Dobson and Bradley Dobson; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dobson-Hendricks was preceded in death by his parents; stepfathers, William E. Dobson and Jess Weller; and a brother, Walter L. Dobson.

Memorials may be directed to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Susan G. Komen or Vitas Hospice.
