I was recently involved in an accident on Route 185 between Vandalia and Hillsboro. I want to thank the kind people of Fayette and Montgomery counties.
I ended up in a fairly deep ditch. I'm from out of town, so I didn't know exactly where I was. I was on the phone with 911 when two very kind, good Samaritans stopped to help me. Chad and another lady helped me complete my 911 call, helped me call my husband, and waited with me until the authorities arrived. Chad was standing in 18 inches of water and must have been very cold, but he said nothing. The other person may have been standing in water also, I'm not sure. They were very kind and I appreciate all the help and comfort they provided.
Soon two members of rural med arrived. They checked me and calmed me down. They were so attentive and helpful; I appreciate their knowledge and kindness.
Lynn, Shelley, and Luke McDowell arrived from McDowell's NAPA Auto and Truck Service Center. They were a blessing. They saw how distraught I was and talked kindly to me as we waited. When they hauled my car off, Shelley gave me a hug. I will never forget the comfort it brought me.
You have some very kind folks in your area and I thank everyone who made my nightmare more bearable.
