Alma Jean Buchholz, 89, of Lincoln, died at 7:30 a.m. on April 14, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger David officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 10 to 11 a.m.

Burial at New Union Cemetery will follow the service. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of the services.

Mrs. Buchholz was born on Nov. 17, 1928, in Lincoln, the daughter of Paul and Florence (Gallagher) Aderman. She was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1942, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1951. She married Harmon Edward Buchholz of New Holland on Jan. 26, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2003.

Mrs. Buchholz enjoyed playing cards with her many friends and caregivers. She was a member of Neighborhood Watch, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church, New Holland Women's Club, Girl Scouts of New Holland, Lincoln Cancer Board, American Legion Auxiliary 715, Lincoln Emblem Club, American Business Women, National Foundation of Elks Club and Goodwill for Scouts.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Aderman and son-in-law Thomas Connor.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Lois Smith of Lincoln; her children, Joyce Connor of Hillsboro, Lori Jackson of Springfield and Bruce (Terrica) Buchholz of Lincoln; seven grandchildren: Jenny (Jason) Erick of North Carolina, Jeremy (Shanna) Connor and Chase (Amber) Connor of Hillsboro, Kelly Hubbard of Springfield, Tera (Nic) Clark of Florence, KY, Blake (Megan) Buchholz of New Holland and Luke Jackson of Springfield; eleven great-grandchildren: Bryce, Brynn and Brylee Connor, Kaya, Vincent, and Merritt Connor, Tyson, Jace, and Tavin Clark and Beckett and Baylor Buchholz; nieces and nephews, Kenny (Kathy) Aderman of Atlanta, Janice (Dale) Coffman of Missouri, Randy (Linda) Krause of Port Gamble, WA and Lynde (Bruce) Hays of Rochester.

Memorials may be made in Alma's name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lincoln Elks Lodge #914 or New Holland American Legion Auxiliary.
