Donna Sue Clayton, 89, of Nokomis, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana.
Private graveside services were held on Friday, Feb. 6, at Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis, with Dylan Goldsmith officiating. Interment followed at Nokomis Cemetery. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Clayton was born on Oct. 14, 1936, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Chester Pocock and Pearl (Pray) Pocock. She was married to Carl Clayton, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2002.
Mrs. Clayton was a homemaker throughout her life.
Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Clayton; her sisters, Marietta Jean Johnson and Doris Sorrels; and her niece and nephews, Julie Blazich, Loren Johnson, Brian Johnson and Merle Clayton.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lynn Johnson of Fillmore and Morris Johnson of Nokomis,Kenneth Clayton of Coffeen, Olin (Barb) Clayton of Raymond, Anita (Loy) Wahlsmith of Springville, TN, Yvonne Hicks of Pana, Jim (Lori) Clayton of Harvel, Lester (Darla) Clayton of Irving, Gail (Dave) Bradshaw of Witt and Janice (Brian) Volentine of Litchfield.
