Doris Jean Best, 62, of Litchfield, died at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at 7:03 a.m.
Private family services will be held.
Ms. Best was born Sept. 17, 1964, in Alton, to Harold Best and Shirley Whaley Best. She enjoyed bingo and riding her bicycle.
She is survived by her brothers, David Cunningham of Mt. Clare and Les (Mary) Cunningham of Gillespie; and sister, Sharon (Gary) Babbs of Carlinville.
Ms. Best was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Denver Cunningham.
