LaVerne “Lapp” Eliason, 88, of Auburn, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020.
Private family graveside services will be held in Auburn Cemetery. Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn is assisting the family.
Mr. Eliason was born April 13, 1931, in Farmersville, the son of the late Alva and Vera (Hoelmer) Eliason. He married Mary Lou Dolenc on July 10, 1954, in Chatham, and she survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A member of the Auburn VFW and American Legion, he also served on the Auburn Fire Department. He retired from Fiat-Allis in 1985.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dale (Chris) Eliason; two daughters, Joellyn (Jack) Warner and Gale (Martin) Pruitt; two granddaughters; five stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Zella) Eliason; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Olin.
Memorials may be made to the Auburn Emergency Squad.
