Mary K. Goacher, 80, of Litchfield, died on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. The Rev. Steven Benthal will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Goacher was born on Feb. 1, 1945, to Walter Mick and Ella (Jonas) Mick. She married Charles Ellington in March of 1960; they shared five children and divorced in 1980. She married Bill Goacher in May 1989; and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Goacher was a housewife and an assembly line worker at Roller Derby until their closure. She enjoyed dancing, country and western music, word search puzzles and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Goacher is survived by her sons, Billy Ellington of Florida, Kenny Ellington of Mt. Olive and Ronnie (Connie) Ellington of Sorento; daughters, Ruth Law and Angel (partner Joe) Ellington, both of Litchfield; step-daughters, Sandy (John) Byers, Barbara Herman, Brenda (Bruce) Derryberry, all of The Dalles, OR, and Karen Martell of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren, Hillary (partner Jason) Blankenship, Anthony (partner Matt) Ellington and Chelsey (partner RJ) Boerckel; three great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Boerckel of Litchfield.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Mick and Walter Leroy Mick; and two sisters, Ruth Young and Martha Funderburk.
