Penny Elizabeth Lee, 62, of Mt. Olive, died on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at 1:35 p.m., at her residence in Mt. Olive.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Net Community Church in Staunton. Pastor Robert Semanik officiated. Interment took place at Chapman Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Becker and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lee was born on July 9, 1963 to Ralph Everett Long and Juanita Yvonne (West) Long in East St. Louis. She attended college and earned certification as a nurse assistant. She worked in healthcare. She married David Wayne Lee on Oct. 25, 1979, at the home of her parents in Pontoon Beach, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2012.
She is survived by her sons, Chris (Ambra) Lee of Litchfield and Kerry (Jennifer) Lee of Benld; daughters, Misty (Jason) Stagner of Mt. Olive and Faye (Ronald) Howard of Worden; grandchildren, Dakota and Crystal Stagner, Caitlyn, Corianne and Logan Jarman, Andora and LaKaya Lee, and Leonardo and Melody Lee; and brother, Terry (Tonya) Peters of Granite City.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Long; and brother, Robert Long.
