Jesse “Ramon” Huber, 83, of Coffeen, died at 8:55 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at Hillsboro Health Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at the East Fork Township Hall, located at 500 S. Prospect St. in Coffeen, on Jan. 24, from 12 to 3 p.m. Inurnment will follow on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. for immediate family at Olive Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Huber was born on March 29, 1942, on the family farm in Coffeen, a son of Ferdinand Bernard Huber and Inez Amelia Schraut. He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1960.
Mr. Huber married the former Janice Kay Ruppe on Dec. 3, 1961, at the Methodist Church in Coffeen. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1997.
Mr. Huber was self-employed as a farmer and enjoyed doing carpentry work on the side. He was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. In his spare time he liked farming and deer hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, drinking coffee, watching Cardinals baseball and caring for his animals on the farm.
Mr. Huber is survived by sons, Russell D. (Laura-Lee) Huber of Hillsboro and Douglas J. (Bobbi Adams) Huber; brother, Dean (Phyllis) Huber and sister, Marie Micenheimer, both of Coffeen; grandchildren, Nick (Xiomara) McLean, Hannah (Dalton) King, Claire-Elise Huber, Tyler (Taylor) Huber and Katelynn Huber (fiancé Ryan Marley); and great-grandchildren, Penelope McLean, Amasa King, Sterling Huber, Eleanor King, Jesse Huber and Iris Marley.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Huber was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard Allen Huber in infancy; three brothers, Fritz Huber, Dwight Huber and Wayne Huber; and one sister, Doris Pickel.
