Terry Gilbert Savage, 76, of Noblesville, IN, died peacefully at his home on Jan. 21, 2024.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, located at 8151 Allisonville, Rd. in Indianapolis, IN. Family and friends may gather beginning at 12 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Savage was born on Feb. 8, 1947, in Hillsboro, to the late Harry Savage and Ruth (Brannon) Savage. After completing his education, he worked for much of his life in data processing, working for Electronic Data Systems prior to his retirement.
He married his wife Judy L. (Walton) Savage on April 10, 1971. Together they spent nearly 53 years together by each other’s sides, raising their family and watching their children grow. Mr. Savage will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many, who had many joys in life.
Mr. Savage loved woodworking and, on many days, could be found tinkering in his workshop for hours on a project. He enjoyed trips with his family and would often reminisce on his journey out west to Arizona as well as the many summer vacations to Cumberland Lake in Kentucky. He was also a proud owner of an original 1948 Jeep truck, and never missed an opportunity to make his family laugh by adlibbing songs on the fly and telling jokes whenever he could. His greatest joy in life, however, was the time he spent with his family, who will all miss him very much.
Mr. Savage is survived by his wife, Judy Savage; two children, Christopher Savage and Leah (Micah) Jewell; siblings, Margaret Skoda, George (Burma) Savage, Bill Savage and Ben (Mary) Savage; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Savage and Ruth Savage.
