When the new George Clooney movie "Up In The Air" hits theaters later this year, viewers may see a couple of local faces on the big screen.

Identical twin brothers Matt and Andrew Reck, 24, of Hillsboro, were two of the over 4,600 people who crammed into Crestwood Mall in St. Louis Jan. 24-25 for a chance to be in the movie to be filmed in the Midwestern city March 3 through April 22.

"The line looked like it was about a quarter of a mile long and about eight people wide throughout the mall," said Andrew. "We were told the wait would be around two hours but it ended up taking nearly four hours."

According to www.imdb.com, Clooney will play Ryan Bingham in the movie, a professional who specializes in “career transition counseling” (a euphemism for firing people) who is looking to accomplish his two main goals in life: to accumulate one million frequent flier miles, and to land a job at a mysterious management company called MythTech.

The casting call at Crestwood Mall was for people to play airline and hotel industry workers, airline passengers, and other "Midwestern types."

While the Recks were not trying to land a specific role, they did feel they had a slight advantage over everyone else.

"Since we are twins, we hoped it would help us to get noticed, but then we saw a set of triplets a little bit ahead of us in line," said Andrew.

"The whole process wasn't what we were expecting," Matt said. "After waiting in line for so long, they took small groups into a seperate room and talked with us individually for about five minutes and then said 'Thanks for coming. You'll hear from us by mid-April if you are chosen.'"

If the pair are chosen to be in the film, it will be just another entry on diverse resumes for the brothers.

Along with working at McKay NAPA Auto Parts in Hillsboro and Litchfield, Matt is a recognized photographer.

Andrew currently works as a barista at Coffee Xpresso in Litchfield, helps his dad do tile work, and also dabbles with music.

The two also enjoy building and repairing computers, and have made two YouTube shorts: a car commercial to help sell their friend Cody's 1996 Cutlass Ciera and a mock movie trailer called The Flop.

They are the sons of Randy Reck of Hillsboro and Tina Horn of Coffeen.
