Beverly Ann Keele, 89, of Taylorville but formerly of Nokomis died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 7:40 p.m. in the Taylorville Health Care Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keele are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, at 11 a.m. in the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home. Pastor Ryan Follis will officiate, and burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the day of the funeral, at Stiehl-Dawson's.

Mrs. Keele was born on Feb. 19, 1927 in Nokomis to Alexander and Hazel (Anderson) Christy. A bookkeeper for Ronk Industries for 22 years, she belonged to the First Baptist Church of Nokomis and to a sorority, the Preceptor Epsilon Nu-Beta Sigma Phi.

She married Carl C. Keele on Dec. 14, 1947, in Nokomis, and he survives. Also surviving are one son, Jay Keele of Flora; two daughters, Carla (John) Ramos of Cleveland, TN, and Natalie (Alex "Butch") Smith of Taylorville; 12 grandchildren, Brent (Amanda) Keele of Nokomis, Blake (Joan) Keele of Philadelphia, PA, Brook (Rachel) Keele of Ankeny, IA, Rhea (Jason) Dooley of Stonington, Emily (Joe) Enlow of Taylorville, Grant Keele of Clay City, Elissa (Manny) Lopez of Dalton, GA, Estelle (Joey) Abbott of Cleveland, TN, Johnnie (Ashley) Ramos of Cleveland, TN, Adam LeVault and Andy (Brittany) LeVault, both of Stonington and Christy (Brogan) Gust of Sleepy Hollow; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rowena Hill of Nokomis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kent Keele; and one sister, Shirley Lecocq.
