Constance Lee “Connie” Stewart, 69, of Litchfield died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 6:51 p.m. at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. William Zanton, pastor of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Springfield, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Stewart was born on Oct. 23, 1945, in Litchfield, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Margie Etta (Birkenkamp) Allen.
She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1963. Over the years, she worked as a sales representative for Vigoro and for K-Life, selling sodium free water softener. She also worked as a greeter at Rural King Supply in Litchfield.
Ms. Stewart was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. In her leisure time, she enjoyed shopping and traveling. She is survived by one son, Rodney (Amy) Stewart of Hillsboro; one daughter, Cindy (Jason) Roecker of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Robert L. “Buddy” Allen II of Chicago; six grandchildren, Katie, Cissy and Alia Stewart, Gage and Finley Webb and Kennedy Roecker.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
