Faith Marie Hartzell, 9, of Litchfield died Monday, March 30, 2015, at 8:07 a.m. at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, in Simmons Gymnasium at Litchfield High School. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in the gym with Doug White, chaplain of the Litchfield Police Department, officiating.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.

Faith was born on May 20, 2005, in St. Louis, the daughter of Shaun Michael and Stacy Christine (Shoemaker) Hartzell.

She was a fourth grade student at Russell School in Litchfield. She enjoyed playing sports, especially softball, as well as outdoor activities, playing on her iPad and  painting. Her radiant smile was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Faith is survived by her mother and stepfather, Stacy and Eric Lamb of Litchfield; her father, Shaun Hartzell (fiancée Jessica Johnson) of Pacific, MO; two brothers, Andrew Hartzell and Caiden Lamb of Litchfield; four sisters, Lauren Karnes and Libby and Sicily Lamb, all of Litchfield, and Bella Johnson of Pacific, MO; maternal grandparents, Tina (Keith) Marburger and Dan and Brenda Lamb, all of Litchfield, and Larry and Debbie Shoemaker of St. Louis; maternal great-grandmothers, Dorothy Shoemaker of St. Louis and Mary Frailey of Litchfield; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Frailey of Odessa, TX; paternal grandparents, Bettie Hartzell of St. Louis and Alan (Michele) Hartzell of Washington, MO; paternal great-grandmother, Arlene Kile of Bloomsburg, PA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Luigi and JoAnn Tucci; maternal great-grandfather, James Shoemaker; paternal great-grandfather, Robert Kile; and paternal great-grandparents, William and Virginia Hartzell.
