Irene Magdalene Reck, 92, of Hillsboro died at 12:12 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with the Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F., pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Reck was born in Hillsboro on Aug. 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Emil and Emma M. (Maninfior) Piazza. She married Virgil Reck on June 5, 1943, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2008.
A 1941 graduate of Hillsboro High School, she lived in Detroit, MI, and Kortkamp during her lifetime. She was a homemaker and co-owner and bookkeeper for Reck and Sons Tile Co.
Mrs. Reck was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She loved cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her children, Susan (husband Gene) White and Randy Reck (companion Lisa Robison), both of Hillsboro, and David (wife Lynda) Reck of Sebring, FL; eight grandchildren, Beth (husband Brandon) Wille, Angie (husband Jeff) Eickhoff, Gina (husband Jason) Burke, Matthew (wife Whitney) Reck, Andrew Reck (fiancee Emily Sinclair), Daniel Reck (companion Miranda Loschen), Cameron Reck and Lyndsey Reck; and six great-grandchildren, Ray and Aaron Wille, Alex and Maddie Eickhoff, Connor Reck and Camden Burke.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Reck was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Gray.
