James Edward "Jimbo" Hayes, 47, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Hayes was born on July 7, 1970, in Jacksonville, the son of Linda and James Craddock Hayes Sr. He married Rebekah Chapman on April 18, 2007, in Jacksonville and she survives.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 865 and Our Saviour Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Marc Hayes of Farmersville; five step-children, Darrell Chapman of Springfield, Angel (Ricky Hill) Ater, John Ater, Luke (Jennifer Cox) Ater and Jacob Ater, all of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel (Phyllis) Hayes of Woodson and John (Vicki) Hayes of Middleton; and two sisters, Samantha (Kevin) Coker and Jackie Brookshire, both of Arizona.
