Larry E. Williams, 76, of Ramsey, died on Sunday, Jan. 04, 2015, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on  Thursday, Jan. 8, at Bethel Baptist Church, IL Rt. 185, Vandalia, with Pastor Harry Kirk, the Rev. Norris Price, and Dr. Ben Foxworth, officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date in Price Cemetery, rural Oconee.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Williams was born on Feb. 05, 1938, in Assumption, a son of the late Russell Eugene and Amanda Evelyn (Cortrecht) Williams. His first marriage was to Coline Mae Buckles in 1957. He later married Patricia Utterback in 1974. He then married  Linda Price Rickman on Nov. 15, 1994, in Ramsey, and she survives.

He was the owner/operator of Central Illinois Aluminum, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, affiliated with Liberty Church, rural Bingham, and the Ramsey Lions Club.

An Army veteran, Mr. Williams was a former mayor of Ramsey, and very active in community affairs.

Along with his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by three sons, Darin Williams of Arvada, CO, Damon Williams of Fillmore and David Nichols, Mattoon; a daughter, Deana Hyde of Cerro Gordo; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Williams of Mt. Zion, Leland "Pete" Williams of Dalton City and Merle Williams of Custer Park; a sister, Phyllis Goodbred of Mt. Zion; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Williams.

Memorials may be given to Liberty Church.
