Lorraine Marie Dzurovicin, 88, of Hillsboro died at 10:46 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs.

Per her request, her body was donated to science. A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Fr. Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, officiating.

Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dzurovicin was born on June 27, 1926, in Taylor Springs, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Agnes (Reschak) Mehochko.

She attended Taylor Springs Grade School and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School.

She married Andrew "Bud" Dzurovicin on June 7, 1947, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1990.

Mrs. Dzurovicin lived in Hillsboro and Taylor Springs most of her life, but moved to Long Beach, CA, after she married where the couple owned a restaurant before moving back to Hillsboro.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro who worked as a secretary and in payroll for many years. She was also a housewife.

Mrs. Dzurovicin is survived by a son, Andrew J. "Andy Joe" III (Lisa) Dzurovicin; a granddaughter, Anastasia Dzurovicin; two stepgrandchildren, Sheila (Scott) Stenger of Hanna City and Andrew (Heather) Joos of Farmington; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores M. Mehochko of Edwards.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond J. Mehochko, and a sister, Mary Ann Vogel.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
