Margie "Marti" Lyerla, 60, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at her residence.
Private family burial will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mrs. Lyerla was born May 10, 1958, in Taylorville, to Cletus and Marjorie (Wyatt) Harris. She married Ron Lyerla on May 29, 1992, and he survives.
She attended Taylorville High School and was a member of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Lyerla was employed at the Starlight in Kincaid. She was a good mother, housewife, an amazing grandmother and had a great sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kayla Marie Durbin of Lincoln, Jared (Amy Alumbaugh) Durbin of Nokomis and Kehlsy (friend Matt McDowell) Lyerla and Kohdy Lyerla, both of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Michael, Tommy, Andy and Erica; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Zaedyn; one sister, Helen (Robert) Graham of Taylorville; and nieces and nephews, Alissa Sherwood, Marlena Muncy, Rylie Whitlow Graham and Bobby Graham.
Mrs. Lyerla was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Michael Durbin.
Memorials may be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
