Martha Alberta Caldwell, 81, of Taylor Springs, died at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care.

Funeral service will begin at 12 noon Friday, June 5,  at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Joy Caschetta officiating.   Burial will be at Morrisonville Cemetery, Morrisonville. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Friday until service time.

Mrs. Caldwell was born in Taylor Springs on April 5, 1934, to Albert and Martha (Howell) Shelton.  She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and married Donald Caldwell on Sept. 8, 1952.

She worked at both Ben Franklin and Sherman's in Hillsboro, as well as cleaning homes and offices and doing alterations from home.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Caldwell of Lexington, Mark (wife Annette) Caldwell of Hillsboro, and Michael (wife Melissa) Caldwell of Hillsboro; two daughters, Gail (husband Ronald) Bergschneider of Harvel and Tammy (husband Keith) Johnson of Auburn; 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; siblings Dennis Albert Grant (wife Barbara) Shelton of Copperas Cove TX; John C. (wife Bev) Smith Jr. of Nokomis, and Teresa (husband Chris) Zumwalt of Pawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Melba Darlene Orlando.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
