Mary Kathryn Frarer, 94, of Taylor Springs, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Harry Kirk officiating.  Burial will follow in Cress Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday before services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Frarer was born on Jan. 29, 1920, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Clifford E. and Marie (Lucas) Stokes.  She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1938 and married Clarence Elmore "Buzz" Frarer on June 3, 1942, in St. Charles, MO, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1980.

She was head checker at Kroger in Hillsboro for 35 years until retiring in 1985.  She was a member of Hillsboro Lioness Club, VFW Auxiliary, UFO Club, and the Christian Church in Hillsboro.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Kay (husband John) McClelland of Harvel; a granddaughter, Mary Beth (husband David) Weller of Farmersville; four great-grandchildren, Kierstyn Weller, Ashlynn Weller, Blade Weller, and Emme Weller; a sister, Patsy Wright of Marceline, MO, a brother, Maynard (Bob) Stokes of Huntington Beach, CA; a special nephew, Greg Stokes, as well as other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford Stokes, William Stokes, and James Stokes; and a sister, Helen Stokes.
