Michael O. Lowe, 66, of Witt, died at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 20, at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Witt with Pastor Brian Atkins officiating. Burial will be in Witt Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lowe was born on Feb. 19, 1948, in Hillsboro, a son of the late John T. and Kathleen (Hopley) Lowe. He married Mary Lou Everley and the couple later divorced.
Mr. Lowe was a diehard sports fan who worked at Caterpillar for 30 years.
He was a member of the Methodist faith, Witt Lions Club, UAW Agriculture Division, and Local 751.
Mr. Lowe is survived by a son, Michael (Kari) Lowe of Huntington Beach, CA; a daughter, Michelle (Kelly) Ondrey of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Madi and Nic Ondrey and Riley and Ryann Lowe; two brothers, Phil Lowe of Springfield and Joe (Billi) Lowe of Witt; and a sister, Dawn (Brad) Young of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Lowe in 2010.
