Mildred Jane Carter, formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.
A private interment was held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport, TN, on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
She was a cherished wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her husband, Willard, for 64 years.
Mrs. Carter is survived by three daughters, Marilyn and Joy, both of Kingsport, TN, and Del Myra (husband David) Bauman of Richardson, TX; grandson, Charley; and sisters, Ruth Sugg and Naomi Redding, both of Sorento, Sharon Peterson of Greenville, Marcia Grigg of Gassville, AR, and Patricia Isringhausen of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Gwendolyn (Elmore) Lash; three brothers, Lloyd, Edward and Michael; and two sisters, Leila and Sue.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Greenville.
