Phyllis June Munos, 80, of Decatur died Friday, May 27, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery.
Mrs. Munos was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Mt. Olive, the daughter of the late Henry George and Fern (Miller) Stamer. She married James Robert Munos on Oct. 6, 1956, in Litchfield, and he survives after over 59 years of marriage.
She retired from Illinois Power and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Munos is survived by her sons, Ron (Andi) Munos of O’Fallon, MO, and Mike (Gerri) Munos of Decatur; daughters, Cindy (Jack) Hosack of O’Fallon, MO, and Jan (Phil) Sweitzer; a sister, Shirley Jackson of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Meghan (Matt) Struttman, Ryan (Julie) Munos, Brittney, Bradley and Bobby Munos, Evan and Will Hosack and Matthew and Rachel Sweitzer; and great-granddaughter, Kate Struttman.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanine Kroeger and Dorothy Frerichs.
Memorials are suggested to the Central Christian Church.
