Wanda Verlee (Richenburger) Martin, 76, of Worden, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jordan Schultz, officiating. Burial will follow at Worden City Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was born on April 5, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Richenburger. She married Charles Martin on May 16, 1986, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2008. 

During her career, she worked as a painter with Hartman and Walsh in St. Louis. 

Mrs. Martin loved gardening, flowers and her dogs, "Puggles and Cisco". She enjoyed cooking breakfast for people and spending time with her grandchildren. 

 She is survived by a daughter, Denise Miller of Ft. Madison, IA; five grandchildren, Stacey Taylor, Latasha Wilkerson, Donald Wilkerson, Salvy Wilkerson and Tomika Dickerson; a sister, Evelyn (Herb) Conn of Norfolk, VA; a brother, Robert (June) Richenburger of Kankakee; stepchildren, Sandy and Matt Molla of Herrin, Tammy and Bill Suttles of Wichita, KS and Kinney Martin of Litchfield; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Wilkerson; a sister, Margarie Woodall and a stepson, John Harvey Martin.
