Norma June Greenwood, 97, of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at 5:20 p.m. at Litchfield Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A private family committal will take place at Crabtree Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of services.

Born Dec. 5, 1926, in Litchfield, Mrs. Greenwood was a daughter of George and Letty (Brandt) Weber. She married Gene Black, but they later divorced. She then found the love of her life, Jim Greenwood, and they married in New Orleans, LA. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2019. 

Mrs. Greenwood was active in her younger years with the love of camping, boating on Lake Lou Yaeger, taking road trips and outings with the VFW.  She also enjoyed bowling, her many animal friends and most of all, her family.  She was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Mrs. Greenwood is survived by her sons, Gary (Patty) Black and Denny (Nancy) Black; her stepsons, Michael (Michele) Greenwood and Ronald Greenwood; stepdaughter, Mary (Dave) Wallace; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. 

Along with her husband Jim, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred Weber; sister, Jean Weber; and stepdaughter, Kelly Durston.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the Litchfield Veterans Memorial Fund.
