Robert “Bob” L. Elmore, 63, of Mulberry Grove, died on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, as a result of a vehicle accident in Bond County.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Elmore was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Hillsboro, to Clinton Tom and Donna (Elam) Elmore. He married Janice L. Tally on July 3, 2005, and the couple enjoyed 16 years together. She survives.

He attended local schools and Hillsboro High School. During his career, he served as a master operator for John Crane Factory, which is now Vanseal Corporation, for over 44 years.

Mr. Elmore loved to spend time with his family. He was also an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman. He was able to do all three of his favorite activities the week of his passing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lillian Clayton and Donna Riggs, both of Hillsboro, and Bobbie (John) Haynie of Texas; three stepchildren, Chet Wilderman of Mulberry Grove, Bryan (Grace) Wilderman of Greenville and Bridgette (Sherry) Wilderman of Virginia; 20 grandchildren; great-grandchild, Noah File; his father; and sister, Teresa (Phil) Tolliver of Irving.
