Roger Allen Hoffman, 90, of Nokomis, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at his home with his family at his side.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, located at 1437 East 350th Road in Nokomis.  Funeral services will follow visitation at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Ric Miles officiating. Full military honors will be performed by Waples-Bauer Post 94 of Nokomis and the US Army Honor Guard.  Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Hoffman was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Pana to Harry M. and Giula M. (Casner) Hoffman. He graduated from Nokomis High School with the Class of 1951 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. After returning from service he went home to farm. He and Patricia Saatkamp were united in marriage on March 22, 1959 in Nokomis and had celebrated 64 years of marriage. She survives.

Mr. Hoffman was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Nokomis Chapter #138 Order of the Eastern Star (Past Patron), Masonic Lodge #456, former 4-H Leader, Director of Nokomis Equity Elevator and Director of Greenwood Fairview Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Mr. Hoffman is survived by his son, Steven (Isabel) Hoffman of Nokomis;  daughter, Susan (Rod) Saam of Van Wert, OH; grandchildren, Vince Hoffman, Veronica Hoffman and Nataly Hoffman all of Nokomis; and great-grandchildren, Aurora Hopwood and Atlas Hopwood.
