Sally Ann (Satterlee) Meyer, 76, of Witt, died Friday, March 1, 2024, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6, at 10 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Pastor Mark Girardin will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Witt. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from  5 to 7 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Meyer was born Oct. 29, 1947, in Kinneville, MI,  to the late Curtis and Betty (Peters) Satterlee. She was a graduate of Rancho High School in Las Vegas, NV. She went on to marry Donald “Bumps” Meyer on Nov. 13, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2023.

She was employed as a temp at the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, Lioness/Women of Witt Club, Witt Library Board and Witt Museum Board. She loved to quilt and sew and belonged to several sewing clubs. She sewed numerous doll clothes for Witt Labor Day celebration doll stand. She also loved reading but her favorite thing was being a grandma.

Mrs. Meyer is survived by her children, Rick (Rebecca Harley) Meyer of Decatur, Paula (Loren) Bergman of Swansea and Amy (Terry) Conway of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Daniella Conway, Tristan Bergman, Emma Harley, Samuel Conway and Elizabeth Harley; and sister Bonnie Falkenstein of Pahrump, NV.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband;  brother Richard “Mike” Satterlee and sister Sue Langgin.
