Sherry Lynn Mueller, 60, of Waggoner, died on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 4:16 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Following the visitation, the family invites friends to join them at 4:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Farmersville.

Mrs. Mueller was born March 18, 1962, in Litchfield, to William K. and Patsy L. (Kessinger) McBrain. She married Jeff Mueller on Dec. 8, 1989, and he survives.

She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1980. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville. 

Mrs. Mueller dedicated her life and poured her soul into her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She was the best wife, mom, sister, mamaw and friend anyone could have asked for. Her legacy continues through all of those surviving her. She touched the lives of everyone she came across.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Eric (JoDee) Nepute of Weldon Springs, MO, and Mike Nepute of Carlinville; daughters, Alicia Nepute, Jennifer (Austin) Viano, both of Edwardsville, and Elizabeth (Bryant) Voss of Alhambra; grandchildren, Harrison, Brysen, Rowan, Jocelyn, Adrienne, Paxtyn, Irelynn, Aspen and soon-to-be baby boy Waylon; and siblings, Timothy (Marlene) Reynolds of Mt. Olive, Kent (Sally) McBrain, Jimmy McBrain, Joanie (Michael) Jackson and Cindy (Richard) Billiter, all of Litchfield.

Mrs. Mueller was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dennis Reynolds.

Memorials may be directed to Donate Life at www.donatelife.net. She was a kidney transplant recipient and survivor of almost four years, thanks to Sandi Kessinger of Springfield. Kessinger is a lifelong friend of Mrs. Mueller’s and now a forever part of the family.
